Considerations (2021 - 2022)

Leaving the house to find “Art” or at least attempting to square (or in my case rectangle) the world in a way that pleases my eye and spirit has been a practice for many years. While I wish to—and perhaps eventually will—devote everyday to purely contemplating my surroundings for photographic gains, in the meantime I am left to sporadic bursts of capturing my versions of unique subject, form, and light. In a sense, I’m utilizing intuition in an attempt to create experiences that potentially allow the viewer—if they look at these photographs long enough and at enough of them—to see things in a more meaningful and personal way. This isn’t to say that a photograph of a wall can or can’t be imbued with transformational power, but that in the deep, deliberate observation of say, a wall, one might be able to transform their own thinking. To be more considerate and aware of the potentiality of artfulness in places collectively deemed immemorable. It is my aim to provide such opportunities.
